MiChart Anesthesia

Launching
March 12, 2023

MiChart Anesthesia will be live on March 12, 2023!  This website will serve to update the Department of Anesthesiology on progress, challenges, and opportunities as we retire Centricity and move to Epic.  Please reach out to Dr. Klumpner, Dr. Shah or Heather Hamilton for feedback, concerns, ideas, or questions. All are also welcome to join our Monday afternoon content review and feedback meetings.

  • Use Epic “Macro” functionality to approximate the features we currently have with Centricity case scripts
  • Refresh and re-evaluate current documentation practices
  • Enable users to reference Centricity case script content within MiChart Anesthesia
  • Develop a hybrid training curriculum with limited in-person, traditional classroom, training
  • Moved up rollout 5 weeks (from April 2023 to March 2023) at the request of HITS due to scheduling of other MiChart projects

  • Be thoughtful when planning to deviate from Epic Foundation system and the impacts to future MiChart upgrades
  • Leverage existing integrated MiChart build to decrease duplicate documentation when able
